Round Two of TSN.cas 2013 Play of the Year Showdown continues with our first player versus goalie entry of the showdown. Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul easily won his first round match against his Canadiens rival, Lars Eller, taking home 70.58% of the votes while St. Louis Blues goaltender Jake Allen stole the show, thumping Jimmy Howard and finishing with 83.42% of the votes to move on. Lupuls POY candidate is a long-distance entry. Lupul picks up the puck in the Leafs defensive zone and begins his coast-to-coast journey by blowing past a tired Hurricanes forward. The final result of this rush is easily one of the best goals scored by a Leafs player this year. Jake Allens save comes courtesy of an unfortunate turnover against the Calgary Flames. Calgarys T. J. Brodie finds himself in the slot with the puck, all alone, with a yawning net and an out of position Jake Allen in front of him. What happens next could very well be the best play of the year. Its up to you. You can watch the highlights and make your decision here (http://poy.tsn.ca). Every vote counts so watch all the plays and take part in the TSN.ca Play of the Year Showdown.Miranda Brazil Jersey . After Mondays hard-fought loss, the wait seemed longer than usual.
