OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss began fall camp Sunday, and despite enduring what has been a tumultuous offseason, there was still a sense of optimism around the team.It hasnt stolen our joy at all, head coach Hugh Freeze said Monday. Its a lot easier than you guys really believe because of the kids. They understand that they have zero control and zero to do with a lot of the things that are going on.When you get to control what you can control -- and thats everything that happens on that field, off the field in social decision, academic decisions and in this room -- thats what you should concentrate on. When you see the kids doing that, its quite a motivator for our coaches. In January, Ole Miss received a notice of allegations from the NCAA that listed 28 violations against the schools athletic department. Thirteen of those involved the football program, nine of which were alleged to have occurred under Freezes watch. Most of those nine revolved around All-America left tackle Laremy Tunsil, who on draft night admitted to taking money from an Ole Miss coach and sparked a continued investigation by the NCAA.In late May, Ole Miss announced that it had self-imposed the loss of 11 scholarships in football over a four-year period from 2015-18.The program is still under investigation by the NCAA and there is no timetable for a resolution, but this is an Ole Miss team that is coming off a 10-win season, has beaten?Alabama?back-to-back years, and has hopes of dethroning the Crimson Tide atop the SEC in 2016.Im more motivated than Ive ever been, Freeze said. For the young men that choose to come to this wonderful university and sacrifice to try and change the narrative around this program, were very motivated to develop them, to give them the best chance to compete in a very difficult conference and a very difficult schedule. And they deserve that.Theres a tremendous amount of motivation to remain consistent.Ole Miss, ranked No. 12 in the recently released Coaches Poll, opens the season in Orlando against No. 4 Florida State. Isaiah Roby Jersey . Oaklands loss to Seattle clinched the ALs best record for the Red Sox with one day to spare in the regular season. "I think everybody was kind of watching," catcher David Ross said. "Demp (Ryan Dempster) came out before he went to the bullpen and was just yelling that they lost. Boban Marjanovic Jersey . The nimble-footed quarterback got his wish, dashing through the snow and a weary defence all the way into the NCAA record book. https://www.cheapmavericks.com/ . The All-Pro lineman got the leg bent under him while trying to make a tackle during the first half of a 22-20 overtime loss at Miami on Thursday night. The medical staff initially thought hed torn the ligament, and the test a day later in Cincinnati confirmed it. Justin Jackson Jersey .C. -- Todd Fiddler scored a hat trick, including the overtime goal, as the Prince George Cougars survived an 8-7 win against the Kamloops Blazers in Western Hockey League play Sunday. Jason Terry Jersey . At a news conference Tuesday where it was thought that the fiery Schallibaum may be shown the door after a dismal finish to the Major League Soccer season, team president Joey Saputo said no decision has been made on whether the Swiss Volcano will be back in 2014. An AFL top-four berth is within Adelaides grasp, but its their performance during junk time that is set to decide whether theyll finish in the top two or not.The jostling for top-four spots has become so tight that a few goals here or there could decide whether a team makes the cut.Entering round 21, the Crows were just three per cent adrift of second-placed Sydney, and only marginally ahead of fourth-placed GWS (one per cent), and fifth-placed Geelong (4.1 per cent). The Giants shock one-point loss to West Coast on Saturday night means Adelaide will be guaranteed a top-four finish if they beat Fremantle (away), Port Adelaide and West Coast (home) in their final three rounds. But percentage could decide whether Adelaide land a top-two berth. The Crows gave their percentage a whopping boost in last weeks 138-point trouncing of Brisbane, and theyll aim to inflict another dose of pain on Sunday when they take on the struggling Dockers at Domain Stadium.Adelaide are expected to stroll to victory. But it will be the size of the win that will garner the greater interest, with junk time in games set to take on huge meaning over coming weeks. While Adelaide are flying high, the Dockers are still digesting a horror season that has yielded them just three wins and a glut of injuries. One positive of their doomed campaign has been the ability to experiment with players.Forward Chris MMayne has been one of those experiments, with the forward performing strongly as a defender in recent weeks.ddddddddddddThe 27-year-old is set to be given another job down back as Fremantle attempt to halt a powerful Adelaide forward line that features Eddie Betts (54 goals), Josh Jenkins (52), Taylor Walker (40), Tom Lynch (32) and Mitch McGovern (25).We like his distribution down there, Dockers coach Ross Lyon said of Mayne. He competes. His attitude has been exceptional all year.Rebounding defender Garrick Ibbotson was initially dropped for Sundays game. But the 28-year-old was given a late reprieve after Lyon opted to include him instead of Tendai Mzungu.Ibbotson has struggled for form this season, and there are rumours he could seek a trade elsewhere despite still having a year to run on his contract.Lyon indicated he was keen to hang onto Ibbotson and help the defender regain his mojo. The first half of last year, he was All-Australian form, Lyon said.Certainly, Garrick is a contracted player for us for the next few years, so we need to build him up and get him going.Fremantle recalled Connor Blakely, while the Crows welcomed back Scott Thompson and Mitch McGovern in place of Paul Seedsman (corked buttock) and Cam Ellis-Yolmen (omitted).
