It is the first time in his six MLS seasons Plata has tallied at least 10 assists. He has four assists in RSLs last seven games.The Galaxy (10-4-13) generated some positive momentum coming into the match after topping the Columbus Crew 2-1 on Sunday. Baggio Husidic and Robbie Rogers each scored in the second half to help Los Angeles snap a six game winless streak. It marked the first win for the Galaxy since July 23, although they have lost just twice since the end of May.This is the second meeting between Los Angeles and Salt Lake this season.
